We chose to sing E tū kahikatea as the name of our farm and nursery is Kahikatea Farm. We named the farm to acknowledge of the history of the area - the whole of Poukawa valley where we live was once kahikatea forest, and also due to the cultural symbolism of these trees, growing in stands with their roots intertwined to support each other. Supporting our local and our permaculture community, as well as our environment, is a key part of our kaupapa. https://kahikateafarm.co.nz/
