I wrote this pepeha/mihi with the help of our Māori teacher 2 years. Rather than use a generic one, I wrote one that meant a lot to me and reflected my family. I have been married for 40years and my husband's family played an important part of my life since I was 18 and it also reflects our family future in mentioning my grandchildren.
