This was a barrier game activity. The tamariki had to kōrero Māori as much as they could, instructing their partner to 'tae i roto' colour-in a particular part of the pikitia. We tried to use the kupu: matau/ maui, ngā tae, kōkako/ kereru, huruhuru, ngutu, rau, mahunga.
Our goal was for tekau miniti, but it stretched out for toru tekau miniti. Tau ke tamariki ma!
