Kia ora, i waiata mātou kaimahi ia ata, ia ata, whakaako hoki mātou i te Te Reo Māori (kakano), ka whakairi ngā pikitia (ngā mea māori) kei runga te pakiwaitara, he mahi toi pea
Hi, we sang waiata each morning, learnt some basic Te Reo and hung up some pictures (things māori) on the wall and perhaps some art. We are not artistic and the team has learnt a couple of karakia too. Note that pronunciation is an issue and our singing may not sound cool but kei te pai.
Does anyone know where we can purchase resources to learn Te Reo? Games, flash cards etc...
Personally this week has been challenging but enjoyable. Some have faced some criticism from home (95% of us are tauiwi) however this has not deterred us but made us stronger and more determined. Some have tried to get on Te Reo Classes but the waiting list....we need more teachers!
