Kia ora koutou,
Thriving kids, Massey is an early childhood center in Tāmaki Makaurau. As Tāmaki Makaurau is currently in lockdown we are doing zoom classes for our young tamariki. In this video, we are using te reo through Karakia, mihimihi and waita. Our tamariki love te reo songs with the actions to match, tamariki join in with the kaiako in school and online. Being able to connect with our young tamariki during these hard times is vital and as kaiako we want to ensure our tamariki are still connecting through Ngā hononga with kaiako, Whānau, and other tamariki. Ensuring all of our tamariki and tamariki Whānau have a sense of hauora and all sides of hauora (taha tinana, taha hinengaro, taha whanau, and taha wairua.) is very important to us, and having these zoom sessions can help foster hauora. So please enjoy this video of the kaiako and tamariki of Thriving Kids, Massey.
(sorry for the echo in the video)
Ngā manaakitanga,
Nāku noa, nā,
Thriving Kids, Massey Whānau.
