My place of work held a webinar to learn & celebrate waiata. We learnt three waiata - two of which were written locally. We learnt the whakamārama behind each of the waiata, broke it down, and sung our hearts out!
Plenty of everyday kupu shared throughout the session as well.
It was educational and heart warming, definitely one of the highlights of lockdown for me personally.
