This photo was taken at 5:30am in Pōrangahau - kaimahi Māori in a govt organisation traveled to Kuwaka Marae, Pōrangahau as part of a Māori leadership programme. We woke up at 5am to remember our loved ones (who have passed on) and set goals for the new year. We sat around a roaring fire and sang songs. It was an incredible experience.
