I have no visual record but at midday on Monday I was with my 92 year old mother in her resthome. She has fond memories of the music of Howard Morrison. I played for her a YouTube clip of him singing Whakaaria Mai. And then the version by Teeks and Hollie Smith at the memorial service last year. The music and the beautiful words filled her room and made her smile - and have a few years. She does not know many words in Maori but knew what I meant when I then told her that her kai was ready.
