Mary - Christchurch

Five of us - rather elderly, two in the their seventies and three in their eighties - met for lunch. Before kai we sang the national anthem in Maori. We then each gave a mihi about ourselves and finished with the waiata, Te Aroha. Before eating we said a karakia together -"e te ao, e te ao marama, e te ao aroha. Mo enei taonga kai o te ao, he mihi nei , he mihi nei, he mihi nei."
