My little whanau in our Tamaki Makaurau bubble (Granny, Mum and 5 year old Ruby) sang the NZ National Anthem in Te Reo Maori today. It was lovely. It amazes me how well Ruby knows the words from having done it as part of assemblies at her school. It has been something that I learned at school over 35 years ago and I have loved singing it at formal occasions and sporting events ever since. A real sense of NZ pride.
Kia ora!
