As a Principal, you envision opportunities to honour our incredible country and the rich culture of our Māori community. Friday was such a day. I am beyond humbled by the huge amount of work put forward by our Māori whānau, our kaiako, our iwi Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, our parent helpers and our tamariki. Thank you does not say enough the gratitude I feel for what all did at our hāngī.

A day of hard work
This whakatauki is so appropriate- it can be used when talking about a community initiative that required a hard day’s work. What an absolute honour to work alongside this exceptional community - Te Uho o te Nikau Primary School 💜 #kaitahi
