For our kura Māori Language Moment this year, our Kapa haka tamariki (x90 Year 4-6 students) did a haka flashmob around the school. We took over the school intercom and let our kura haka fill the wairua and taringa of everyone around! It was lightly drizzling outside but most classes and kaiako (including our tumuaki) came out (600+ tamariki) and joined in for the empowerment of Te Reo Māori.
As well as this, all kaiako were up skilling their tamariki in Māori waiata and kemu to continue using in their ākomanga throughout the year and beyond!
