Because i have seen the terrible inequality for our Maori people who were here before my ancestors and i feel that we all should be learning Te Reo , the whole history aswell in our classrooms, no different than learning English in the classroom.
I have studied for one year and feel i am only just beginning to learn, intending going back until i can actually speak this beautiful language but also understand what is being said and be able to answer back correctly
Thank you
Michelle
