Ruma Pīwakawaka at Hornby Primary School celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori by singing waiata, reciting whakataukī, colouring in whakataukī posters, and dancing the matariki macarena. We had an absolute blast immersing ourselves into the language and culture and are going to be continuing the celebration for the rest of the week!
