I enhanced my Pepeha and recited it, but what I really want to write about is something else. I shared the Māori Language moment graphic on my Facebook page, and challenged my friends, saying that I was going to take part, so were they too?
The highlight of my day was when a couple from Kansas, in their late 60's, who I only spent a day with at the end of their 2 weeks touring New Zealand, replied with the comment above. :)
They must have learned Tutira Mai on the tour bus. So, there you go. The Māori language moment made it all the way to rural Kansas, USA!!
