Kia ora everyone,
As it is Te wiki o te reo Maori (Maori language week) I thought I'd play a small part in it by learning a Maori word. 🌿
The Maori word Makoha has the meaning:
"To be tranquil, undisturbed, gentle, compassionate, kindly, considerate, amiable, placid, kind-hearted."
While I'm not Maori myself, I'm all for embracing all culture's. 😍
I thought this word was kapai and it was applicable for massage therapy because in order for any treatment to be successful and reduce pain, it has to be done in a considerate and kind way. 🙌🏽
