I took my beautiful mokopuna Azahlea Harding to our local celebration at Seminoff Stadium in Whangarei there was music, a movie Moana which she loved and Fireworks display for around 20 mins which was stunning it was the first time our Council had some kind of celebration for Matariki which was special, we ate Maori vegetables peruperu salad with smoked mullet,

which we prepared earlier at home and I allowed her to buy a treat from the kai carts provided to support our local small business vendors, we had a great time I had a opportunity to share my knowledge of Matariki pass down to me from my Karani Papa Hamuera Hau & Karani mama Pirihia Marino two very special people in my lifetime 💙💙💙
