Today some of our senior class of Years 5 & 6 tamariki at Monte Cecilia Catholic School in Mt Roskill, Auckland and all of the kaiako gathered on a video call to greet each other in Te Reo Maori, to karakia, korero and question in basic phrase using Te Reo and to waiata together. We actually lost track of time and by the time we had finished, we had spent about 25 minutes in total, using our beautiful Maorinlanguage together. We all loved it and enjoyed putting ourselves up for the week of using new, (or a bit rusty) phrases.
