Kia ora
Because of Level 2 this week, our school stayed in our own classes but every kaiako and class made a commitment to using more te reo throughout the week and every week. During the Māori Language Moment classes were singing and listening to waiata, learning some new kupu and making pictures of them, working on mihimihi, reading big books in te reo, finding out their ingoa i te reo and said karakia before kai. We had a prepared slideshow with karakia timata, kai and whakamutanga, waiata, kīwaha and whakatauki, along with lots of ideas and links to resources for using te reo and it will continue to grow and be used.
He waka eke noa!
