Kia ora koutou,
At around 12:00, all of the tamariki (children) and kaiako (teachers) at AE Camrose came together to participate in a special Te Reo Maori moment. This moment was a celebration of te wa tuku reo Maori, a time to honor and embrace the Maori language.
At our te reo Maori moment, our infant tamariki gave it a go with poi dancing. Our toddler and preschool tamariki had their very first Haka performance and sang waiata together in our preschool room. These moments allowed our tamariki to connect with the rich cultural heritage of Aotearoa, fostering a deeper understanding and respect for Te Reo Maori. We are incredibly proud of their participation and willingness to embrace this important aspect of New Zealand's identity.
Ngā mihi nui 😊
