Today I learnt a karakia before kai through one of the links on this site.

I watched it and then I looked up the words on Google and the translation.
I am practising it, so I can record myself saying the karakia.
He Karakia mo te kai
E te Ātua
Whakapaingia ēnei kai
Hei oranga mō ō mātou tinana
Whangaia hoki ō mātou wairua
Ki te taro ote ora
Ko Ihu Karaiti hoki tō mātou kai whakaora
Āmine
Dear God
Bless this food
May it nourish our bodies
and feed our spirits
with the bread of Eternal life
Bless our food in Jesus’ name
