My Koro and my Dad were raised with our reo not being prioritised and in fact it was taken away from them actively in their schooling and everyday life.

As a Māmā and a daughter, because of the choices my parents made for us to be exposed to environments that encouraged us to learn, I have a responsibility to serve my whakapapa and do all I can to lift up our reo and create space for my babies and our mokopuna to thrive and learn without whakamā
