I was going to wait and share about the matariki event I am organizing at our playcentre next weekend, but this morning I took my 3 kids out to see if we could spot the matariki cluster. We were so so excited to be able to see it, and as I was pointing it out and miss 9 exclaimed that she could see one bright star and a few duller stars in the cluster, I started to say about Hiwa, the wishing star, when just at that moment a shooting star appeared directly below the cluster. Sooooo cool for the kids to see and such perfect timing, we all made a wish (mine is for the school holidays to go nice and smoothly 😀) such an awesome way to bring in the new year!
