Because it is the duty of each and every citizen of Aotearoa New Zealand to be a "Treaty partner". (see Ted Glynne in several articles).
Especially as teachers, we are in the unique position to be able to normalise the use of te reo me ngā tikanga māori for the future generation. I am learning and sharing my journey with my students.
