We started our celebration with waiata practice with the awesome Dee Harrison. Who knew we could sound so good! Zayne, Ruia and Ria organised a hangi meal for us all, with contributions of freshly made fried bread from Piki and banana poke from Alby. Thanks to Ruia and Ria for the set up and the amazing placemats - with cheat sheets on the back for names of kai and how to converse about our meal in te reo. Fun time had by all.
