Our language is a unique gift by God to humanity. It speaks to who we are as an individual, a community, a nation.
I am Samoan but speaking Te Reo Māori is so important to me as this is the language of Aotearoa. One day, I hope we, as a nation, will all be speaking Te Reo Māori.
This is my humble acknowledgement of that significance and to tautoko my Māori kaiako and akonga at Ngā Puna o Waiōrea, Western Springs College.
