It's been an up and down year with having to prove to our country and it's leader that Māori is here to stay and we will not be spoken over. It's been a time for fighting for our rights with the potential of our treaty being obliterated. It's been a year of coming together and seeing what the next 50 years will bring because if we can make it to 50 then I will be reading this to let myself know we did it and we are still here for the next 50!!!
