Te Reo Māori is central to who we are as Aotearoa. As Tauiwi, I believe we have a duty to honour Te Tiriti, stand against the harm of colonisation, and help restore tino rangatiratanga. I want a proudly bilingual nation, with tamariki learning Te Reo from the start. In the face of policies that erase Māori identity and kaupapa Māori, learning and using Te Reo is one of the strongest ways we can push back.
