I'm very grateful as an immigrant to be offered a place of belonging here under Te Tiriti and always wanting to try be in better relationship with tangata whenua. He ataahua te reo. I don't want to use a language which isn't my culture/birthright in appropriate times/places but I also want to see it visible and flourish. Especially while this Government wants just the opposite!

As a disabled person, I also want to see it becoming easier for all disabled people but especially tāngata whaikaha Māori, whānau hauā hoki to be learning and interacting with te reo. Ake, ake, ake
