I went on an adventure to find myself some Kia Kaha te Reo Māori merch. Which I found at the Pito-one Warehouse. It was a fun afternoon out :D

At Kindercare Johnsonville all kaiako and tamariki committed to taking part in the wero. We used reo in daily conversations, displayed Te wiki o te Reo Māori posters throughout the centre, labelled items with te reo kupu, sung waiata with the tamariki, and created beautiful art displays.

Through our Te reo o te wiki Māori we shred Did you know facts about te reo Māori. On the last day we did a school wide kahoot at 11am. We had our whole school compete and some amazing podium placings! It was great the knowledge had been retained and it was fun in the process! Kia ora!

Every morning in our karakia and hui we do our Ha kei roto ha kei waho and the students really benefit from this calming and stretching interoception! It is a wonderfull opportunity to connect to our Atua and to our internal wairua.

At our school we have a mini Woolies who provided us with a Kawhe machine and we did our first kawhe with your rauemi and every customer that ordered in tereo and sign language got a wee treat!

Here at the New Zealand China Council Te haunihera o Aotearoa me Haina, one of our ‘50 Wero Reo Māori’ challenges had us learning the names of New Zealand’s native birds — in te reo Māori and in Mandarin Chinese. 🥝🐦🦜 Join Alistair and Summer as they swap favourites native birds and practise kupu Māori together. A fun way to celebrate our taiao, manu, languages, and connections. Kia kaha te reo Māori! Ake ake ake. 加油 (Jiā yóu)!

I popped over to The Warehouse and got a hoodie to celebrate the 50th anniversary!

today we read "Te Mīhini iti kōwhai (the little yellow digger) completely in te reo Māori, encouraging our tamariki to listen out for kupu that they know to, along with the pictures, help them understand the story.

Our preschool akomanga had fun colouring in this banner to support the amazing Black Ferns! It went half the length of our room with tamariki choosing places on both sides to colour in the letters

My challenge was to lead my first closing Karakia to the HCA team with 15 people in attendance at the end of a meeting 17 Sept. This is me doing this on the right.

As part of the Mondelez New Zealand Culture Club, we embraced Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori with the following initiatives: - A daily Whakataukī e-mail mini-series (sharing pronunciation & encouraging engagement on our internal social media channel), - Playing Māori tunes & waiata at the office, - Hosting a Pepeha Workshop, where everyone had a chance to learn & practice their very own Mihi🙌

For one of our ‘50 Wero Reo Māori’ challenges, we labelled our office space (wāhi) in three languages — te reo Māori, Mandarin Chinese, and English. Come take a quick tour with us and see what we’ve been learning this week. Kia kaha te reo Māori! Ake ake ake. 加油 (Jiā yóu)!

This year for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, My class put together a Pepeha video using the schools' pepeha to encourage other students in the school to enter a creative pepeha challenge.

Challenge complete - Compose a piece of writing or performance connected to reo Māori. I hope this is okay, I am Pākehā and learning! Hā ki roto, Hā ki waho. Hā ki roto i te reo, Hā ki waho ki te Ao. Hā ki roto i te reo, Hā ki waho ki ngā tangata. Rongo te hā o te reo Toku tinana, toku manawa, toku hinengaro. Hā ki roto i te reo, Hā ki waho ki toku wairua. Hā ki roto, Hā ki waho.

Paramanawa in action! We love the Whānau kai cookbook here at Kindergarten, so much so, it would have been rude not to make and enjoy Naomi's Keke Tiakarete recipe for our kai!

My name is Dr. Corey Regnerus-Kell, General Manager Animal Services at SPCA New Zealand. I hosted a new staff member onboarding, and 2 day workshop with my leadership team, of which I was able to continue to practice my reo with a karakia at the start and closing of the meeting. This is the opening of our meeting.

In our kura tari we have created a display to whakanui te wiki o te reo Māori. One of our awesome kaiāwhina, nō Huiterangi, created the awesome banner; Kia Kaha ki te kōrero i te reo Māori. The other whakaahua shows our tamariki listening to waiata from Aotearoa Songbook.

Loved hearing the correct way to pronounce the vowels, consonants and digraphs. So helpful!

I read about the anniversary of Te Wiki o te Red Maori on the Kia Ora Magazine app!

These are the greetings I wrote to use this week. It's so nice having them for easy reference!

Label your wāhi (space, place) Tamariki, kaiako and whānau are expanding their reo, naming all the object we use often throughout the Kindergarten.

hā- breathe hā ki roto, hā ki waho We have been working with our tamariki on calming their minds / hinengaro and bodies / tinana through yoga (i te reo Māori)

I downloaded the labels for the label it wero and chose to post labels for our staff kitchen.

My work team completed wero 48: to "colour in the kia kaha te reo heitiki and show it off". We also discussed our creative choices using some reo, and one team member even shared the Māori legend of Mounts Ruapehu and Taranaki to explain his colour choices.

Here is a copy of my bingo card for the week! I have already crossed 2 off as someone said kia ora to me and every morning my class does a karakia! Hoping I get a bingo before the end of the week. . . and hopefully someone plays the waiata 'Kia mau ki te ukaipo' by Six60! ! !

These are the favourite words from kupu hou from my ākonga. They loved hearing these new words and trying to use them in a sentence!

We put some sticky notes up around our classroom labelling different things. This is for the students and the kaiako to practice their reo Māori and use more kupu when they are speaking. The video shows some of the sticky notes that we put up in our classroom.

After attending the Te Wiki o te Reo Māori parade as a preschool, we had some chill out drawing time when back at our centre, using the colouring sheets for this wero. One of the kaiako at te tēpu talked about what the colours of te arero represented. As many of us were wearing the merchandise, they could easily copy the colours.

Our Kapa Haka participated in our Kahui - Mataruahou Kapa Haka Ahurei. A beautiful sharing of Kapa Haka and supporting each other.

The tamakiri in my ākomanga love to play tākaro in their literacy rotations.

I coloured in the Kia Kaha te Reo heitiki. I felt like a kid again!
