At Titirangi Primary, we wanted to have a whole school assembly for the Māori Language moment and sing some of our favourite waiata.
We are in Level 2.5 because of Covid-19 in Tāmaki Makaurau, so we had to improvise.
We made a slideshow for all the classes to play at 12pm so we could all sing in our own classrooms at the same time.
Here is Ruma Tekau mā toru singing "E Kereru." (written by Jenny Shearer and Matiu te Huki.)
The rest of our playlist included "Aotearoa" "Tutira mai" "Poi E" and "Kia māu ki tō ūkaipō."
