Kia ora, he mihi nui ki Matariki 2021 :-)
Our Ropu, Te Wahine Connection o Waipareira, now use the Matariki kaikōhau as our opening karakia. This pic was taken just before we went to share kai to celebrate Matariki. Our kuia had been to a Dawn Blessing for Matariki and will be celebrating again with Te Ropu Kaumatua o Waipareira, at Te Mahurehure Marae at the end of July.
You can see the prints of paintings by Maori artist Nicole Johnson on te tepu, she gifted each of us a copy.
