Kōrerotia te Reo Ake Ake Ake! I tenei ata i whakatū a tatau karaehe reo ki Wharekahika nei. Ko nga whainga mo te ra, te ako tetahi waiata-a-ringa, a, te ako ano i etahi ahuatanga o te whakapapa. Ka rawe nga akonga - nui nga katakata!

I'm in

Kia Kaha Te Reo Māori

Started the reo journey before coming to the beautiful Aoteoroa, with just a Kia Ora and a Morena here and there and slowly but surely learning more and more words. I am self taught with some kindergarden books and the maori language app. I am excited when i am able to make out certain words when people speak to me and soon will be confident enough to converse in Te Reo Maori

Every time I answer the phone at work or my personal cell I always use 'Kia ora"

Planned activities at our local library for the kids' afterschool programmes themed around our reo

Kia ora! To celebrate Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori 2024, I will use the little bit of the Reo that I know as much as possible. Not just this week, but every day. I have an Ake Ake Ake sticker on my car, and I will proudly wear my Ake Ake Ake hoodie every day this week. I will do all that I can to help promote this beautiful forever Reo! Mauri ora!

I Have celebrated Ake ake ake by learning more Maori.

We are celebrating at the Tākaka Library with activities and pukapuka

By learning everything I can about Maori people's including te reo little by little. I grew up in Rotorua attended predominantly Maori school's am loving Maori growth in everyway. We have a first great-grandchild arriving soon I'm loving and looking forward to meeting the first Maori born in my family.

Kia kaha te wiki o te reo Māori, completing te reo is one of the most powerful tool I now add to my kete.

the whole school got together to sing waita

I have started a Te Reo Māori course to reclaim my reo!

Kia ora! Our for-purpose organisation, Springboard Trust, supports school principals across Aotearoa with their strategic leadership skills. At our team catch-up online this morning we did a Slido Quiz all about Te Reo Māori. It was competitive, with a bit of under-arm bowling attempts by many to move up the leaderboard, but in the end our ex-pat Canadian made a late comeback once she figured out how to use the online technology to take out the Great 2024 Springboard Trust Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori Quiz. We also each asked ourselves what's one thing we'll do for Te Reo Māori this week and beyond? Whiua tee Reo Māori ki te Ao!

I begin each day with karakia to get into the mauri of my day, I say this out loud rather than to myself.
