My why is that first and foremost I am a Pakeha whose family have lived in Aotearoa for several generations, and as such I try to live my life in a way that upholds the principles and obligations of Te Tiriti. -

Apart from the beauty and value of te reo Māori itself, all people living in and belonging to this country must be bilingual (at least) - te reo rangatira me te reo tuarua (Pakeha). -
