I revised my mihi this year to include my arrival in Auckland but not to include my mountain and loch which I have previously included as they are important in my culture, though in a different way from that recognised in Māori pepeha.

In Takiwira, Dargaville, some of our local schools and ECEs gathered together at Dargaville Primary where we were welcomed with a Powhiri and then we all joined together to waiata.
