Our school team just finished our Reo moment. I got so lost enjoying the moment of listening to everyone's kōrero sharing what they had for kai that I didn't eat. Now, ināpō, last night one of our amazing kaiako lovingly collated te reo messages from students in our syndicate Ara Teina, this whakaahua/photo is me enjoying my kai while watching and listening to all of the tamariki who sang, spoke, recited and performed reo. E hāro ana taku ngākau - My heart is singing.

Our Māori Language Moment was a video chat with my māmā & my tamāhine. We greeted each other, counted & talked about the names for kararehe. We listened and drew pictures as Māmā talked about the similarities between te reo Māori and Fijian. The little one sang a song and danced. Time got away from us a little bit & soon we realized we needed to have lunch. We try to incorporate te reo Māori and the magnificent values of the culture which are similar to our own into our everyday lives. This particular moment was so enjoyable & meaningful as we are currently experiencing the many highs & lows of lockdown. Thank you💕
